Powder coating is a dry finishing process where a fine powder is electrostatically applied to metal and then cured in an oven, where it melts and hardens into a tough, even coat. With no solvents and a thicker film than wet paint, it gives a far more durable finish.
With proper surface preparation, a powder coated finish lasts many years — commonly well over a decade. Coastal salt air and constant UV can shorten that, which is why the right preparation and coating system matter for items kept outdoors.
Most metals — steel, aluminium and alloys. Common items include fencing, gates, balustrades, wheels, furniture, machinery parts and fabricated steel. The item needs to withstand the curing oven, so heat-sensitive materials aren’t suitable.
Yes. Aluminium coats very well and is common for architectural work such as window frames, balustrades and screens. With correct pretreatment it gives a durable, corrosion-resistant finish that suits coastal conditions.
In most cases, yes. We sandblast or clean items back to bare metal first to create the right surface profile, so the coating bonds properly and lasts. Blasting, preparation and coating are all done in-house.

Yes. Our oven is one of the largest on the Sunshine Coast (7.3m long, 2.1m wide, 1.8m high), so we can coat long sections, large gates and oversized fabrication in one piece — fewer joins and a cleaner result on big jobs.
We return estimates within 24 hours, and most jobs are turned around in a few working days. Larger or bulk runs can take longer — we’ll give you a realistic timeframe with your estimate.
